Capsicana Cook Sauce Review

Written by Lisa - Last updated: August 23, 2015

When I was fresh out the blocks...

One of the first products I ever reviewed on the blog were a variety of chillies from a guy called @chilliben from Capsicana. Not only were the chillies awesome! But Ben turned out to be a really nice guy, and I've gone back to him for more spices since.

A new twist

When Ben wrote to me to ask if I wanted to try his new range of cook sauces, of course I said yes! I knew his expertise in chillies and all things with a Latin American flavour would lead to a pretty awesome cook sauce. I also genuinely think he is a nice guy too, so was more than happy to give them a review on the blog as he's one of those people you hope will do well!

The sauces

Needless to say the sauces were epic.

We tried the following sauces:

We liked them all and couldn't pick a favourite to be honest, they were all good. It was also really nice to have something simple but tasty to hand to cook with after work.

These cook sauces are really full of flavour, so even though there isn't copious amounts of sauce, you don't need it. They work well with meat, veg and rice. But would also be really good as a marinade for BBQs.

My favourite use for them, was marinading chicken (because like most Brits we are addicted to chicken), and serving with rice and veg. A perfect simple and healthy meal.

We were sent the sauces for free to review, but at just £1.95 per pack they are great value for such original flavours. You won't find anything that tastes like them on your regular supermarket shelf, that's for sure!
