Bad habits? What are they? Surely I have none of those – I may have certain endearing, uniquely quirky, well ingrained ways of doing certain things, but me … ‘bad’ habits … nahhh never!!
Don’t I wish!!! 🙂
Sadly, I am all too aware that I have many & varied habits, some may or may not have become ‘bad’, but that either way, are the little things I do repeatedly on auto-pilot, firmly entrenched & likely unchanging ‘quirks’ that make up part of who I am.
Yes, folks, it’s that time of the week again, the time where I lay it out for you & ask that you hear my confession over with the ever lovely, Kirsty from My Home Truths.
Ok … here goes;
1. I am a shoe dropper …
I have a terrible habit of taking my shoes off … wherever … & instead of picking them up & dropping them in the extra large shoe storage box my partner so kindly placed near the side door, I will leave them where I took them off, mine, the kids … whoever’s … they will stay there, generally, until I either trip over them & grumble that I should have put them away, or until they get worn again – which could be days! Bad, bad, bad!!
Oh BTW – don’t you just love my 3 year old artist’s impression of a ‘Peacock’ – using lots & lots of glitter glue! 🙂
2. I’m a paper piler-upperer …
Yep … I am a paper piling fool! Admittedly the above is an extreme example – my son’s weekend art works. Instead of
throwing them out, putting them away in his ‘art’ file at the end of each day, I just kept piling them up until this morning it looked like this! In my mind I am thinking, oh how can I throw it away it’s my baby’s work! Most parents would probably agree, that ‘keeper’ artwork needs to be limited due to general mass production that goes on! I do similar ‘piles’ with bills & other incoming stuff. In my mind I am like, I might need this piece of junk mail for some unfathomable reason that make perfect sense to no one including me, but there it stays, sometimes for days (again). Bad! Bad! Bad!
3. I’m a potty mouth …
Cook! Eat! Enjoy!
