Don’t fret folks … nothing kinky going on here I promise!
I wanted to add another element to my personal blog FreshHomeCook to include the occasional ‘just because …’ posts about things that happen, observations, photos, ideas & other randomness that I consider important/interesting (hopefully) enough to share, if only for a chuckle!
When trying to decide on the name for the first post, I recalled a conversation I had with my friend & family member, Ed. While on a visit & stay at our home, we were chatting about ‘stuff’ & Ed looked at me with a cheeky, shy grin & said, “I love all the green you have in the house … it’s like fifty shades of green in here.” It made me laugh out loud & feel ever so slightly embarrassed. The thing is, he’s right!
Now … anyone who knows me, knows my
obsession preference for green. While I’ll be clear that there is no “‘Green’ Room of Pain” or the like going on – (yes, yes, I have read the books, I was not immune to the hype … they were ok, but I’m more partial to book series of the supernatural variety – if you’re after well written stories & interesting so-called, ‘mummy-porn’ check out Laurell K Hamilton!).
Anyway … as I was saying, while our home is more about family & less about kink, I do have numerous shades of green splashed about & influencing most aspects of my life.
So … from time to time you might see me post about things that are not necessarily ‘food’ related, just ‘Pinches of Life’, as seen through my lens. I hope you like & can relate – it often nice to know you’re not the only one who thinks, or acts a certain way!
I will do my best not to offend, but I guarantee nothing as we all have different sensibilities. (Mine tend to be about my parenting skills & nutritionist’s insistence that chocolate is not a food group!). My brain is a busy & fickle place at times, so you just never know what might come out – but isn’t that the fun of it too?!
Thanks for tuning in & please feel free to share your thoughts & ideas with me. I would love to hear from you.
Oh, & thank you Ed for your observation & humour, it still makes me laugh out loud!
